New Music: Leah LaBelle – “Lolita”

Former American Idol contestant and YouTube star Leah LaBelle has just released her new single “Lolita.” The 26-year-old, who managed to capture the attention of both Pharrell Williams and Jermaine Dupri, sings about being a sex kitten over a groovy track (pretty similar to what she cooked up on “Sexify“).

LaBelle is all set to release her debut album this year. If her first two singles are any indication then the LP should be a nice collection of laid-back, Saturday afternoon music. (You know—stuff like this.)

New Music: Justin Timberlake feat. Jay-Z – “Suit & Tie”

Suit and Tie Cover

After teasing fans with a dramatic clip, Justin Timberlake has returned to music with his new Timberland-produced track “Suit & Tie.” The song features a verse from Jay-Z and will appear on Timberlake’s new album The 20/20 Experience, which will drop this year.

Timberlake explained the process of making the album in an open letter to his fans:

The inspiration for this really came out of the blue and to be honest, I didn’t expect anything out of it. I just went into the studio and started playing around with some sounds and songs. It was probably the best time I’ve had in my career… Just creating with no rules and/or end goal in mind and really enjoying the process.

New Music: Angel Haze – “On The Edge” & Azealia Banks “No Problems”

After hours of beefing on Twitter over a seemingly innocent tweet from Azealia Banks, rapper Angel Haze released a diss record towards her former associate.

Check out “On The Edge” below:

Not to be outdone, Banks just released a response to the record that she claimed Haze actually wrote last year. While Haze said that she did write the track this year (and it only took her 20 minutes), Banks is not persuaded. We don’t know the truth, nor do we care, we just want some good music.

Check out Banks’ “No Problems”:

While beef is an essential part of hip hop, let’s all pray that there’s a day when female rappers will just get along. Haze tweeted that she will release another song at 6 p.m., so that day clearly isn’t here yet.

New Music: Azealia Banks – “BBD”

Azealia Banks BBD ArtworkAzealia Banks gave her fans a New Year’s Eve treat when she dropped “BBD” yesterday. I’m sure the song, which stands for “Bad Bitches Do It,” gave many ladies something to dance to as they put on their makeup and sequined dresses. “BBD” is just a teaser, however, as it will not appear on Banks’ debut album Broke With Expensive Taste, set to be released this year.

New Music: Lupe Fiasco – “Lamborghini Angels”

Lupe Fiasco just unleashed a beast. (That cliché was well deserved.) Last week Lupe gave his fans a heads up about the content of his newest single “Lamborghini Angels.”

“Warning: if you are easily offended or religiously sensitive DO NOT listen to Lamborghini Angels. Contains very disturbing content,” he tweeted. “Listener discretion is thoroughly advised.” Yeah, he wasn’t lying.

Take Lupe’s advice and proceed with caution. But if you’re in the mood for an incredible flow paired with rarely heard commentary on power, evil and materialism wrapped up in a religious metaphor, then press play.

“Lamborghini Angels” will appear on Lupe’s upcoming album Food & Liquor II: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1, which is set to be released September 25.

Well, it looks like Kid Cudi is rapping again. No complaints here. The good folks over at Complex just unleashed a new track from Mr. Rager himself and King Chip (the artist formerly know as Chip tha Ripper).

“Just What Iam” will appear on Cudi’s upcoming album indicud.
